Role Overview
- Location: UK (remote working possible, with some site visits as required)
- Package: Up to £640 daily (Inside IR35), 3-month rolling contract with potential for extension
- Industry: Defence, Security, Technology
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the planning and execution of testing activities across key project phases, ensuring quality standards are met
- Develop detailed test plans aligned with programme milestones and contribute to resource estimation
- Analyse requirements to design comprehensive tests, writing clear scripts and defining acceptance criteria
- Manage defect reporting and triage, providing insights for root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Support the testing lifecycle from initial system integration testing through subsequent phases, maintaining traceability and quality assurance
Main Skills Needed
- Proven experience leading testing within complex, multi-phase programmes
- Strong knowledge of SIT and downstream testing, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective test coverage
- Excellent defect management skills and experience with root cause analysis
- Ability to document, communicate, and manage testing artefacts clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with structured testing methodologies and governance frameworks (desirable)
