What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitor and respond to security alerts across secure environments, ensuring fast detection and resolution of threats
- Lead a small team of analysts delivering Security Operations Centre services on multiple projects
- Review and enhance existing security controls aligned with evolving technical requirements
- Develop and support role-based access controls (RBAC) within identity management systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders to inform decision-making
- Deliver security awareness sessions and onboarding briefings to users and stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining compliance with standards such as ISO:27001 and other governance frameworks
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop the SOC as a vital capability unit
- Stay ahead of security threats through ongoing research and trend analysis
- Support 24/7 SOC service shifts, ensuring continuous security coverage
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong understanding of SIEM, Cloud Computing, Network Security, and Threat Intelligence
- Experience in Incident Management, Identity & Access Management (IDAM), and ITSM processes
- Knowledge of cyber threats like phishing and ransomware, with a focus on security controls
- Team management or leadership experience is advantageous
- Critical thinking, ownership, and collaborative problem solving skills
- Motivation for continuous learning and technological improvement
