Role Overview:
- Location: Hampshire (Hybrid circa 2/3 days onsite)
- Package: £80-90k + bonus + benefits
- Industry: Defence / Secure Tech
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Driving platform scalability, supportability, and security from the ground up
- Championing GitOps principles using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible
- Collaborating closely with developers to enable self-service and smooth integration
- Monitoring and evolving platform tooling to stay ahead of the curve
- Evangelising best practices across infrastructure, monitoring, and automation
- Playing a hands-on role in building resilient, scalable systems
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong background in platform or site reliability engineering (5+ years)
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Skilled in CI/CD pipeline tooling (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
- Experience with monitoring stacks like Prometheus and Grafana
- Confident with Git and repository management workflows
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) is a plus
- Great communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments
