Operations Manager
Buckinghamshire & South Northamptonshire | £40,000 + Expensed Travel | 5 Weeks Holiday + Bank Holidays
We're working with a growing education catering business that provides freshly prepared meals to schools across Buckinghamshire and South Northamptonshire.

A service in which thousands of children rely, and they're looking for an operations manager who can help their teams continue delivering an outstanding experience.

This isn't about sitting behind spreadsheets all day. It's about being visible, building relationships, supporting teams, solving problems before they become problems, and creating an environment where people enjoy coming to work.

You'll oversee multiple school sites, giving you the autonomy to influence standards, improve performance and make meaningful operational improvements.

You'll work closely with site teams, school leadership and suppliers, acting as the link that keeps everything running smoothly.

Your Day-to-Day Impact:
• Visiting schools across your region and supporting onsite catering teams
• Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
• Monitoring operational performance, service quality and customer satisfaction
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across sites
• Managing budgets and controlling costs without compromising standards
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members
• Driving a positive culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
You'll already have experience managing multiple sites within catering, hospitality, education or a similar operational environment.
You'll be confident working with people and making positive relationships, be comfortable making decisions, and know how to balance commercial objectives with delivering a great service.
You'll also be someone who naturally spots opportunities to improve processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.

You'll Need
• Previous operational leadership experience
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Strong stakeholder and client relationship skills
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Confidence using Microsoft Office
• A full UK driving licence

The Hard bits:
There will be days where you're moving between sites, dealing with unexpected challenges and juggling multiple priorities at once.
