As we scale, we are looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering to join our founding team and set the technical vision for our platform.

This is a founding executive-level role. You will define and drive the technical vision, build and lead an elite engineering team, and work across product and business functions to deliver industry-leading AI solutions. This role requires a rare blend of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and high-energy leadership, focusing on both rapid iteration and long-term scalability.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define the product and technical vision for the AI-powered workspace.
- Translate emerging AI research (LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, multi-step agents, vector databases) into practical solutions.
- Align engineering priorities with product and business objectives, balancing short-term traction with long-term vision.
- Lead execution and instill a culture of engineering excellence across the team.
- Write, review, and mentor engineers on code across React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and Python.
- Build rapid prototypes and iterate quickly based on user feedback.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and robustness as the product grows.
- Define and enforce best practices in architecture, testing, and DevOps.
- Own cloud-native infrastructure spanning Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, SQS, VPC networking, Tailscale, and related technologies.
- Recruit, onboard, and inspire A+ engineering talent.
- Mentor engineers, fostering curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers, partners, and investors to articulate the company’s technical edge.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, evangelizing our AI mission and strategy.
Main Skills Needed:
- Proven engineering/technical expertise across multiple layers of software development.
- Hands-on experience as VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Lead Engineer/Manager.
- Leadership of small, high-performing engineering teams (1–5 engineers preferred).
- Executive-level communication skills and ability to influence strategy across business functions.
- Energetic, outcomes-driven, and capable of setting standards and driving team performance.
- Comfortable in collaborative, creative environments with intuitive decision-making.
- Technical stack expertise:
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Backend: NodeJS, Python
- Database: PostgreSQL
- AI/ML: LLMs, RAG systems, agentic AI, vector databases
- Cloud/Infrastructure: Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, SQS, VPC networking, Tailscale
- DevOps & CI/CD: Architecture, testing, and best practices
