This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to develop their career in project and delivery management, gaining exposure to high-profile programmes while working alongside experienced delivery professionals.

You'll play an important role in supporting project performance, financial oversight, governance and stakeholder engagement, helping ensure projects are delivered effectively and achieve successful outcomes.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Delivery Manager, you'll work closely with delivery teams, senior stakeholders and customers to support the successful management of projects throughout their lifecycle.

Combining project coordination, financial monitoring and operational support, you'll contribute to effective planning, risk management and continuous improvement across a range of complex programmes.

This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your delivery management expertise within a collaborative environment, taking ownership of work packages while gaining valuable experience across agile delivery frameworks and project governance.

Key Responsibilities

You'll play a key role in supporting successful project delivery by:

  • Supporting the delivery of projects and programmes, ensuring milestones, budgets and customer expectations are effectively managed.

  • Monitoring project performance, including financial tracking, forecasting, resource planning and governance reporting.

  • Working closely with delivery, account and business management teams to identify and mitigate risks, issues and delivery challenges.

  • Supporting agile project teams through the application of project management methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and customer stakeholders.

  • Contributing to project mobilisation, commercial processes, audits, reporting and change control activities.

  • Supporting effective communication, collaboration and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

You'll be an organised, proactive professional with experience supporting projects, programmes or operational delivery activities, alongside a strong interest in developing your career within delivery management.

You'll also have:

  • Experience supporting project, programme or operational delivery activities.

  • An understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Lean or similar approaches.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of project financial management, budgeting, forecasting or reporting.

  • Understanding of risk, assumption, issue and dependency (RAID) management.

  • Experience within defence, national security, government, engineering, technology or other highly regulated environments.

  • Awareness of commercial delivery models, including Fixed Price and Time & Materials contracts.

  • Project management qualifications or training, such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, APM, Scrum or equivalent.

Due to the nature of the programmes involved, applicants must be UK citizens and hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance.

Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a highly specialised environment, contributing to programmes that support critical national security and defence capabilities.

You'll benefit from working alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to complex delivery environments and developing the skills needed to progress into more senior project and programme management positions.

In return, you'll benefit from:

  • Competitive salary of £44,100 – £66,100 per annum.

  • Flexible and hybrid working options.

  • Compressed fortnight working pattern, including every other Friday off where applicable.

  • Private medical insurance and dental cover.

  • Life assurance and a competitive pension scheme.

  • Flexible benefits, including critical illness cover and a health cash plan.
